I applied for a Sainsbury loan of £5000 week last Monday. It was approved at 8.7%.
Was told if I wanted the loan quickly I should pay them £60 for a courier to deliver on the Thursday then 5 days from the Thursday the money would be in my bank account.
I declined the courier offer.
On Monday of this week I contacted Sainsbury to say that I had not received the loan approval form, I had to sign and return.
Was told it had got lost in the post and they would send me another one.
I am still waiting.

So Sainsburys control the post now as well then do they?
Still getting the loan though ( a great rate also) , so you can't be that worried.0 -

I don't understand what your issues are here. They offered you a guaranteed service, you turned this down and another service provider caused you a delay. How is this Sainsbury's fault?Getting married 02.08.14

Clearly this can't be Sainsbury's fault. They gave you a guaranteed option though with a fee, but you declined. Surely, you can't expect them to have full control over good old Royal mail0

Everything is the banks' fault. I thought everyone on this forum knew that.0

however £60 is an utterly ridiculous amount to charge for priority0

and who says Sainsbury uses RM?
what about all the other DSA carriers?0 -
I say Sainsbury's use Royal Mail. Unless they courier you your paperwork, for which you have to pay a fee. It used to be £75.Getting married 02.08.14

yes, but what if they use a downstream access company inbetween?
http://www.tntpost.co.uk/News_and_Events/Archive/1230-07-06_Sainsburys_TNT_Post_UK.htmlSainsbury's, which has hundreds of stores throughout the UK, will use TNT Post to deliver most of its customer direct mail, through Premier, TNT Post's 48-hour service for pre-sorted mail, with Royal Mail continuing to carryout the final sort and delivery to customers' homes nationwide.
infact a non executive on the sainsbury board is part of TNT's supervisory board

Are you saying that this means that they don't use Royal Mail? I hope not. Because your quote clearly shows that they do.Getting married 02.08.14
