change to finance and trade in
Options
Hi,
Hope someone can give me some advice regarding this situation. My Fianc!e and I agreed on the purchase of a car on Saturday 24th with Arnold Clark, the car is hers and all finance in fianc!s name. On Saturday we were given a trade in figure for the old car and finance agreement which was signed. The car was due to be collected on Monday but adoring to the sales man was issue getting the finance.
Anyway my fianc! and our son (2 years old) went for the car today she had to wait several hours as the car was getting its MOT, during this time all remaining paper work was signed. It is only when I seen it tonight that I seen the repayments had changed of which she was not advised
Also regarding the part exchange car they told her that it needed £1200 work to be done on it and she would have to pay some of this the sales man told her she would have to pay £250.00 towards the repairs unfortunately she did not know any better and simply wanted to get home so agreed to do this.
What I would like to know is what rights do we have as the original finance has been changed and we were not advised and also the car was checked on the Saturday and we were given a px figure to which they have charged her.
Obviously if I had been there I would have stopped everything as soon as they said. But she did not know what to do.
can i regect the car, is ther a cooling off period or as they did not advise of change to the finance can we do any thing, also regarding eh extra charge can we get that back as were given a figure before
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
