Advice re signing off jsa please

Hi guys, here is the scenario...

Hubby has been claiming jsa for us for since Feb 2009.

I will find out tomorrow if i have got the job i have been interviewed for.

The hours are 27.5 per week - job centre says he no longer need to sign.(yay)

Do we still get the four week run on of HB and CTB?

Many thanks in advance. :)

  • as you have been claiming for more than 26 weeks then you should get the 4 week run on
  • You can also ask for a crisis loan if you will have to wait a while for the first pay cheque. Don't forget to apply for working tax credits and ask for ADF for some clothes for work.

The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(

If you don't want to work, you have to work to earn enough money so that you won't have to work ;)

I feel that is really sad that this is what has become of this proud country.

I feel sorry for you that you haven't got a mans proper working hours eg: 40 hour full time working week to feed and clothe your children. I am happy for you that you have the job, of course, but you are happy that it is nearly £60 per week better off than benefits. You deserve more remember that.

    WHAT !!!!

    No 1. I am female

No 2. First job for 17 yrs (was a SAHM)

No 3. Hubby has been trying to get a job since he was made redundant. He had worked since he left school 23 yrs ago.

No 4. We are happy to be in employment again , and maybe we do deserve more. That will come with time - at least we have made the first step.
