Cavity Wall

A guy just came round and asked would I like cavity wall fitted to my house. He says they will do it for £150.

I live in a four in a block house - I am in the bottom right one. The one above me is owned by the council and the other 2 belong to a private owners who are renting them out.

He says there is a grant that makes it £150.

Is it a good idea to get it done. The house was built in approx 1935.

    i doubt it.
unless he is sure the cavity stops at your actual property line? surely he will be filling the whole block?
or he will most likely, be doing a part cavity filling job.

or maybe im missing summat here?

If the block is owned by the council, then you would not normally be permitted to insulate the walls without their permission

    Anyway, it's only £99 from EnergyCare www.energycareukltd.co.uk
