Exactly how much space is there between the bath and basin? If there is an inch or more i would just get a standard 700mm wide bath and cut out the tiles/plaster if necessary to make it fit by sinking into the wall like your 1st post above mentioned. Then no need for moving other sanitaryware.
If careful, and assuming the tiles are tiled off the bath with just a line of sealant, then you may even get away without having to remove the tiles or even damaging them. Or just rip out bottom rows of tiles and find a tile that coordinates with what is there already (perhaps a border in between).

When we were planning our bathroom at one point i was going to fit a bath with one end into a 650mm wide recess. We were going to use a standard 700mm wide bath and I cut out a narrow strip of plaster to fit it in. In the end we didn't put a bath in due to a major change in plans but anyway!

I'd avoid moving the toilet position as altering soil pipes can get expensive. So if the distance between current bath and basin is less than an inch , i'd look into getting a narrower basin as the plumbing is far easier to alter. Most of the toilets are much the same width but basin widths vary alot.

Incidentally the bath we would have put in was Ideal Standard Alto which has a fairly wide plinth around the edge which made it fairly suitable for sinking into the wall - though i'm sure quite alot would be ok.

Hi thanks for that. Direct Line have now eventually agreed to send out a loss adjuster to see if they will fit a new bathroom (all three matching items). I asked for this two days ago as if we had a new suite (as toilet and bath are both damaged) we could have a smaller sink (hence no plumbing change) and the bath could be 700mm and not look so awkward (there is no distance now between bath and sink and sink overhangs bath already) . I wanted this anyway and thought that that is what they would do in the beginning as they state in their terms and conditions "exact" match.

We have had two plumbers out now to look at the toilet and that could be problem but they will not know until they lift it out and the bath changing to a 700mm with smaller sink would be no problem if we are tiling. Also we could go as far as a 1600mm bath instead of 1500. It would be heaven:T.

I am just glad that someone is coming out as I am not doing anything wrong and as they cannot match our bath or toilet exact we should be entitled to what they put in their terms and conditions. We could have claimed 10 years ago when two large chips were in the bottom of the bath but we have suffered with it as we knew the cost involved in the tiling etc so we left it. It has now come to a point where really we have no choice.

I did receive a reply last night from one of the obsolete places stating that they did make 650mm baths and they were cast iron

    he said here

If you measure it at 65cm ( I send him photos lol of me and tape measure) then thats what you have. Its a bit naughty of me to say
they don't exist i have come across them on an estate in Welling in Kent as cast iron baths that
were apparently imported from Holland. However not as a merchant purchaseable item
for the last 50 years or so
