Alu Folding doors: Smarts or Sunflex?
OHANLON
I have spent months doing my research on Aluminium folding/sliding doors and have finally shortlisted the: Visofold (Smarts Systems) and SF55 (Sunflex)
The major differentiator is price and the minor issue is that Smarts can't offer colour coded / flush fittings handles which would finish the look.
Can anyone provide any info on their experiences of these products/companies and some guidance.
Thanku

Hi Ohanlan
I have alot of experience fitting both products and there is a massive difference between the sunflex and smart systems. With Sunflex you are dealing with the highest quality folding and sliding door. Smart on the other hand we stop fitting them because we had too many problems with them having to go back after fitting them.
Price is a big factor becauce sunflex are pretty exspensive but you get what you pay for sunflex are made in Germany and the manufacturing standards are second to none but you can cut cost by using smaller companies to supply and fit your doors. So if you can stretch your budget I would advise sunflex.
Hope this helps0 -
Not sure what spec you're after but if you're after a cheap (but high quality) option, I would check out Vufold - I'm getting a new set for my kitchen can't fault the quality (they're hardwood rather than Alu though)0

I had a similar dilemma and altho i loved sunflex they were just far too pricey so i've now ordered a system made by Beaufort Aluminium based in S Wales. They seem good quality and slide v easily. i'm having them fitted by Nolan windows if thats any help.0
