Harry, you're an Idiot.
Some people care about others, and want to help people protect their savings.
We are not all selfish like you. Not everyone thinks like you!
Always posting complete and utter positives about one single asset is not helping others. In fact, it's detrimental to others. I'm all for people on this site promoting the benefits of investing in a certain asset, and I've learned a lot from people on the Savings and Investment Board about certain investments. But the reason I've learned a lot is because they come across as balanced, thoughtful and (best of all) not one hundred percent certain that they are right about everything. They are quick to point out that they could be wrong and why they feel this way. This is something you, Mr English, RDB and all the other gold and silver fans never, ever do. It makes me suspicious of your integrity.
By always coming on here and constantly talking about investing in gold, without ever engaging in debate about the negatives, or even entertaining the idea that their could possibly be negatives, is a bit irresponsible in my humble opinion. It doesn't help anyone.
You told me the other week that you invest 25% of your entire income in gold and silver and 80% of your entire savings / investment portfolio is gold and silver. That's your choice of course, but most people would see this as an incredibly risky and strange way to invest.0 -

First he lives in Wales..... Seems he's not sure how to run his BTL though.... perhaps he hasn't got an accountant....crazygaijin wrote: »Here in Japan (yes I live here as my name suggests)crazygaijin wrote: »I am just turning 65 soon my wife is only 60, is my allowance about 9k total for both of us or each?
I will start getting state pension soon and a small other pension less than state. I also will have about 200 per week profit coming in from rental properties.
Oh.... £200/wk.... not such a magnate after all.... nice little pension for him though.... what with him being 65 and the wife 60crazygaijin wrote: »My wife and I have a 1 year old and its looking like I may be losing my job after more than a decade. Company going bankrupt.
Still got lead in the pencil and a remarkably fertile wife too. Not bad for 65 and 60.crazygaijin wrote: »I have 2 BTL`s and am waiting for the prices and interest rates to come down to buy some more in the future.
I have been talking to my accountant about the advantages of putting them all in a Ltd company instead of owning them outright.
I am interested to know others experience and advice on this I know its a complicated area.
But he does have an accountant? Surely he should be able to advise him on allowances for BTL? If he really has one that is?
Then he's recently trumped it all with the disclosure that he's lost a shed load of cash by buying silver off e-bay which he was held to ransom over....

Funnily enough I was milking the llamas with my 79-year old husband on our farm here in Tanzania just yesterday and was commenting to him that so many people on this forum seem to make up false stuff about their life.0

Then go and make the same argument against the Independent Financial Advisers, those who really do ramp some zombie products to anybody who sends them a PM.
Don't pick and choose which Spammers you attack. They are all scum.
you're no better than they are, you offer a single investment idea and try to panic people into buying off you at extortionate rates. All spammers are scum, but you're the only ones in here."I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. Harry, you're an Idiot.

We are not all selfish like you. Not everyone thinks like you!
You try to panic feeble minded people into buying silver at top-end prices via PM on a money saving website. You're the problem, not the solution.
p.s. I know you, Digger, RDB and Mr.English are all the same people. It's laughable to have watched you log off one username and log on with another to respond to my posts. Green lights on, green lights off. lol. :rotfl:"I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. LOL
I am Mr English and Digger ?
Busted!
Why the hell would I have 3 usernames?
If I have something to say I will say it, I don't need to pretend I am 3 other people.Harry_Powell wrote: »You try to panic feeble minded people into buying silver at top-end prices via PM on a money saving website. You're the problem, not the solution.

Contrary to some peoples views the global P.M. market is too big to ramp or manipulate anyway.
Certainly, which is why all this apparant horror at alleged "manipulation" is really just a bunch of spivs whining cos they havn't made as much "profit" as they had hoped.
They try to make out they are somehow different from those they accuse, but in reality they are just the same.

Harry_Powell wrote: »Can you please provide a link to bullion dealers who buy this second hand silver and yet still add in the 17.5% VAT to their purchase price, even though they don't have to?
You know as well as I do if you sell to a dealer they will only give you a lot less than its worth.
Its very easy to sell bullion.
A good example is selling something like a car, boat or caravan. Yes you could take it to a dealer and they will give you something for it.
But you know they will give you a lot less than its worth.
Why not just advertise it and sell it yourself.0
