Tax and NHS pension

My dad got £10 less a month from his NHS pension. I wonder whether it is because of the state pension increase. Give one hand take with another. With credit crunch and everything on the increase and yet no rise in NHS pension.

The NHS pension is RPI linked to the September figure, this was -1.9% so in fact the pension should have gone down by 1.9% but I think it was merely frozen.
Has his tax code changed. Now that he is getting £125 more in state pension he will have to pay £25 more tax per year but this is only £2 pmThe only thing that is constant is change.0 -
Same applies to Teachers' Pensions.
We didn't get a rise, but I had no decrease either. it would be worth your dad querying it.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

Well there should be an explanation with the payment, unless it's just his tax code that has changed - maybe to collect arrears from an earlier year?
Has his actual pension changed, or just the net amount?0
