HPi check

Looking to hpi a car I'm getting. I hpi'd my current car through ebay for £6 when it was up for auction on there but it looks as though you can't just buy a hpi report off ebay for any car it has to be a car that's on a current auction.

I've googled HPi and found the price to be around £40 which does seem a little pricey.

Anyone work for a car dealers ;-)

Or anyone know where I can get a cheaper (although still thorough) check?

Personally I would always use the full HPI check at £40. Other reports don't give you the same amount of information. HPI gives 'the works'. It is pricey but other systems may not show that the car has been reported as stolen etc so it is worth spending the money to ensure that you will not have the car taken off you in the future by a finance company/police etc.

Use the RAC online check instead of HPI. The check is actually done via the HPI website anyway but RAC charge only £24.99
