Accepted offer on our place last week from couple who have a cash buyer lined up, then we've just had an offer accepted on our new place which is empty as the owners have split and gone their seperate ways!
After we sell our place we can pay off what's left of our mortgage :T so won't have a mortgage to find.
Just wondering if anyone can give me any sort of idea, if all goes well, roughly how long we have before the move all goes through??

the standard responce i see are about 8-12 weeks...........but i'm finding it depends on how many complications you have along the way
i'm in a chain of 3, my sale is pretty much ready to go (FTB, all finances in place, that took 3 weeks to sort out), i've sorted out my mortgage/survey/searches etc..........house i'm buying, they are 2 years divorced and going rented.................HOWEVER to complicate things, the hubby won't sign the paperwork
so a chain that looked like we could complete in 8 weeks has been delayed for an extra 3 weeks awaiting for the to sort their stuff out!!!!!!!!

Thanks for that, just needed a rough idea, looks like i've still got plenty of time to de-clutter then!
The owners of the house we're buying split up about a year ago, and now they don't communicate so i'm kind of expecting a few hiccups along the way!
Good luck with your move and your challenges0 -

We moved 6 weeks after putting our house up for sale. Got an offer after our first viewing. Our buyers were first-time buyers and we were moving into an empty house (previous owner had died), and no complications. My husband was not even in the country. I got his power of attorney so I could go through with everything and we moved a few days after he came home.
We couldn't believe how quickly everything happened.0
