It it getting to that time when the fence needs stained again. I was thinking about getting one of the sprayers.
Are they any use? Or am I best to stick with the brush.
P.S. Has anyone seen any good deals on fence stain?

Ive used both, sprayers are great so long as there is nothing (and I do mean nothing at the back of your fence) I once spray painted my neighbours kitchen window, as the spray paint went through the gaps!!!!!! I have moved house since. I started doing my fence with a brush this weekend, nightmare it takes ages. I have decided to use the brush on fence beside my neighbour's house, and the spray on the other 3/4 only have a field behind so will use a sprayer there. good luck with your fence0

Just make sure you do it on a day with no wind whatsoever (and no cars parked nearby). No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Ive got a sprayer but I dont go much on it at all, id rather you the good ole brush, with a brush you get an even coat on the fence, with the sprayer it seems so runny.
Perhaps I like the old fashioned way but to me you cant beat the brush for better coverage.0 -
The sprayer made the job quicker, but I spent the time saved getting the fence paint off the window frames. From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0

Not to mention the time it takes to clean out the sprayer.0 -
I spray in the middle but brush around the edges & any holes.
It still goes everywhere though, even in the slightest breeze. Not Again0 -
Before we were married, my wife's neighbours used a sprayer to stain their side of the fence. Somehow they also managed to splatter just about everything on my wife's side of the fence too. The walls, upvc windows, dustbin, planters, garden tools and furniture etc. It was a right mess.0

Our neighbour re-sprayed four cars while spaying his fence - cost him a fortune to get the cars clean again. I would use a brush personally0
