Hello,
I am not too sure if this is normal - and do I need to advise my IP? My proposal was sent to the creditors and they have received them since Monday - I have been receiving calls from a few of them - leaving a message, asking me to offer them an amount in order to settle my debt with them (had I had the money I would have tried this 1st time around).
Thanks

Chancers!
If you deal with one you'd have to deal with them all! If you pay one it would be deemed a preferentail transaction they know this. If you say this, they'll get angry and say it isn't but it is!Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?

Thanks Charco,
I have not got the money to pay lump sums anyway - just seemed odd that they all of a sudden call asking this - I have not called them back to be honest. Will await the creditors meeting now....0 -
Dont call them back.
Dont pay a lump sum.
Dont even pay a token payment.
Your IVA is being voted on by various accountancy firms, not by the person who rings up and says "pay us £50 or we'll reject your proposal". You making a small repayment outside the IVA before it starts will have no bearing on your IVA. If this guy in a call centre can convince you to pay £15 then it was worth Lloyds or whoever making him give you a call and it happens all the time...
Who did you do your IVA with?Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?
