I got mine today but does it mean you get in for free because I've never got free tickets and I dont know if there is a catch with them. Could someone please help me? lol

I went last year and the year before, there is no catch, arrive park in car park, walk to the gate, hand over your ticket/s they take a piece off, and hand them back to you, in you go.

There is a lot of walking, and it can be noisy, take ear plugs, food and drink imo IS VERY expensive, so I take sandwiches and soft drinks in a rucksack.

There in past years has been lots to look at and take part in especially for the kids. Pit lane walks are once per day, and you do IMO need to get in the que for that, depending on the weather it can get cold up there as it is so open, but equally it can get very hot and sun cream and hat is the order of the day.

Blimey some of you are driving for hours to get there, I am so glad I live 15 mins down the road!!

Got our tickets on Thursday. Like others we have been the past 2 years, but would reiterate about the high cost of food and drink there.

They were charging £2.50 last year for a 99 ice cream!!! Captive audience and all that. :eek:

And it is free, no catch, very easy to get in etc.

My children love it and can't wait to go again.

Yay! Got my tickets today, going to take my dad. Is there a parking charge? Only ever been to Silverstone for F1 GP and everything at that is super expensive. Thanks to original poster!!

We usually camp up there and walk to the track. It is FAB! And they usually give out ear plugs at the gate. But I agree the costs of food etc is dreadful!
