.He is aware as all politicians are of how it looks on TV when they are "ambushed" by the ignorant and ill-informed. Of course he is going to comment in private just as you would you numpty.His mistake was not checking the microphone was still there.If he had said that all old ladies should be put down free on the NHS then you have a story.However he only said what a lot of people may well agree with.
