Orange Broadband - DO NOT SIGN UP!

I would urge anyone NOT to get supplied with Orange, it is worse than useless. I was with Freeserve then Wanadoo then Orange took over, i was a loyal customer for 7 years never ever again.
The hours i had to spend on the phone to them, when you could get through that is, was unbelievably frustrating. Having to go through the same rigmarole on the phone time and time again because they will not deviate from their scripts. The problem i had was my internet dropping out up to 40 or 50 times a day and i am not joking. One of their reps actually said to me "why do you stay with us?" well i didn't after that i went to Virgin Media after a little trouble with the install from them my connection as not dropped once.
Again if you want a totally frustrating and absolutely terrible service and pay for the privilege then get Orange.
But i would without a shadow of a doubt talk anyone who listens NOT to and NEVER get installed with Orange. YOU WILL REGRET IT.0 -
Final chapter:
Thanks for the support and advice, I'm happy to say this is finally sorted. We were released from the contract with no further charges, but only after the threat of legal action. We're now with Talk Talk and have been since Friday, receiving consistent speeds 3 times faster for download and 10 times faster for upload... thank you Talk Talk.
I'd forgotten how nice it is to stream using iPlayer for missed TV shows...life is good
Once again, do not sign up with Orange broadband, you'll be fine if you don't have a problem, but if you do it will be a nightmare.0 -
