Hi
Wonder if anyone had an opinion and experience on using alternative programme to Itunes. I think Itunes is a bit of a dog and I know that there are other pieces of software out there that do that same thing as Itunes - anyone use any of them?
Thanks

I have a shuffle and use 'ishuffle' which you copy to the player and can run from any computer (apple, linux, windows) because it works independently of the computer.
You drag your music into the folder on the shuffle and click the little program icon and they will play on your shuffle.
You cant see whats playing of course and you have to do it every time you want to change music but it is simple and very quick.0 -

You could use windows Media Player, however I found that even more of a dog than iplayer and once I started pushing 40,000 mp3 files would grind to a halt just trying to search thru/sort them.
iTunes I've found responsive and efficient at over 120,000 mp3s
(and no, none of them have been illegally downloaded or P2P'd from the internet before you ask :A)0 -
