  • Just checked my bank account and the child tax credit money has come in - I wasn't expecting it for another couple of weeks:T I'm out of my overdraft again for a couple of days at least woohoo!!

Managed to force myself to do 15 minutes on the stepper don't feel any better for it but at least I did it.

Must get a wiggle on now need to drop the baby off at 12.30 and still haven't packed her bag for the day yet.

Yay for early payments and for managing to do some time on the stepper. Sorry the baby didn't sleep well, hope you get some more tonight. :)

  • My OH just told me that one of the neighbours was screaming outside when she started waking up so I'm hoping it was just that and she'll sleep better tonight, we've got to be up and out of the house fairly early tomorrow so could really do with a decent nights sleep

Sorry to hear about the lack of sleep, 15 minutes on the stepper is my personal idea of hell but I am dead impressed that you managed it after a poor nights kip as well :D

Excellent news on the TC payment, checking the bank and finding money you weren't expecting is so awesome, it just doesn't happen often enough!

    Have a good weekend :)

  • Thanks I was quite pleased with myself:D managed 10 minutes yesterday morning - I don't overly enjoy it but its easy to do and the baby can see me so doesn't cry if I lay down to do sit ups etc she's starts moaning!

Feeling quite pleased with myself finally got round to doing the shopping spent £130 but got over 1000 nectar points:T and £6 of that was for a new pan (I ruined one of the ones we had :() and I bought 3 tubs of baby formula so hopefully other than milk and some bread we shouldn't need anything else (crosses fingers touches wood etc etc)

We went out all day yesterday - on the plus side it didn't cost a penny visiting OH's nan she provided us with lunch. Once we got home it all went a bit pear shaped though:( we looked on the mothercare website and got the baby the jumperoo (£89 but with 15% off) the bumbo (with tray so saving £5) and the parasol which she needed - instead of costing £152 it was £138 with free delivery so not too bad bought through quidco as well so hoping it tracks without any problem. Once we'd done that a pizza hut advert came on - you can see where this is going - so we did our order on line it came to £26 (just for two of us )so I thought I'll see if I can find an online discount voucher - found loads not one of them worked:mad: so then I looked at the deals page we got teh EXACT same order even down to the sides for £15.99! Still a bit of a waste but £10 saved:T and we did enjoy it

Yesterday sounds like an expensive day but it sounds like you did it in the most MSE of ways! :D

I am very jealous of your commitment to exercise, I was a size 10/12 before I had my daughter and just never, ever lost any of the weight :(. I almost wished I had taken the opportunity to be more active during my MAT leave.

Hope you have a good day x

I agree - may have been expensive but had MSE elements to your spends! :j

Well done on the stepper. I am trying to do 20 mins on the cross trainer most mornings. Sometimes doing 30 mins when i fancy it!

  • Thanks guys - been really lazy since not done any exercise! whoops - will make up for it either later today or starting tomorrow. Need to lose 2lbs this week as I maintained at fat club. Trying to be really good this week but its so much harder when my OH isn't at work (its no excuse really).

Money wise I've paid another £35 off the credit card and reduced my over draft by another £20.

A little bit annoyed the day after we'd ordered the babies bits from mothercare argos sent me an email saying they had more stock in - blooming typical:mad: but with quidco cashback its pretty much the same

Going out for lunch with some friends on Thursday so while I'm in town I'm going to take the money out of our penny jar into the bank and whatever is there pay off the credit card.

Going to go catch up on everyone elses diaries now:D
