change of address & HB

So we are due to move house in a few weeks - named tenant & 2 non-dependents.
I was just looking at the new HB form and it mentions others that are living with the named tenant but only as sub-tenants lodges and not non-dependents, we don't pay anything to the named tenant only to the HA.

Do we just fill in the form for the named tenant and then add the non-dependents?

A change of address is a nice simple change and so in my LA, we have special C of A forms.
However, if you do need to complete a full new form, I would say that the section that asks about other people living with you is where you put the Non Deps. On our form, it asks for income of them etc.

The HB claim would be in the claimants name and the rent is their responsibility as is the claim but you need to be declared on there so that the authority can take the right non dep deduction so put it on there.

nope changing councils and HA they sent us a new form. For other people living at the address they need sections 5 & 8 - income docs etc (section 5), tenants bank statements showing money sub-tenants pay etc (section 8) we don't pay her anything it goes straight to HA.

Sub tenants and non dependents are different right? they are on entitledto

Oh I see, yes, a change of borough means a new claim!

Sub tenants are different from non dependents.

I would suggest that you put yourselves on the form where indicated for other people living in the property. Non deps don't have to show money being paid to the claimants as in a lot of cases, they don't pay anything at all.
