Divergence between natural gas price versus UK consumer price.

Looking at the chart [in dollars] of the international price of natural gas.
(As I can't post links, you'll have to look up $natgas at stockcharts.com and click the 3yr period below the chart)

I see that the current price is about 1/2 what it was 3 years ago, and about 1/3 the price it was 2 years ago (a year ago it was the price it is now).

I realise that the British pound's devaluation against major currencies has a lot to do with the high energy prices we are paying, but these sorts of proportions seem way off reasonable.

Are the members of the group of energy suppliers in a cartel?
It seems we Brits are on the ground getting kicked to death....

None of the party leaders have addressed this glaring issue of price disparity to Martin.
