Ex Pat savings

Hi, we live in Spain, with savings in the UK in a low level savings account. On looking for a fixed term of 1 to 3 years high rate, all UK banks are telling us we need to be UK residents.

Any experience or ideas for ex pat investors

    AFAIK, in the UK only the Halifax & Investec will accept non-resident customers.

    Your other option is to consider offshore accounts in Jersey & IOM. However, they do not offer the same level of protection as UK accounts.
    In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:
