Standing Orders - BACS or FPS

I pay my rent to my letting agency every month by standing order. I have the standing order scheduled for the 27th and my rent is due on the 30th. I was wondering if standing orders are sent via BACS or FPS? The code on my statement just says SO. A couple days worth of interest isn't a whole lot, but there is no reason to pay my rent earlier than I need to.
I'm sending payment from Lloyds. I believe the letting company banks with the Bank of Scotland.

Lloyds currently send SOs via Faster Payment - up to £1000 (2nd table on link).
But - SOs (FP or otherwise) only work on Bank working days (so not weekends/ Bank Holidays). So if you trim the gap between the 27th and 30th you will fall foul of non-working days on some occasions.
The way around this is to do the SO manually (table 1) as a 'bill payment' ....... that way it will go (within 2 hours) on the day you select - no matter whether it's a working day or not.

Thanks for the link.
It looks like the 30th falls on a weekend in May, but after that it is a weekday for the next couple of months.0
