Just received it online. Quite pleased with the result. This is for a three month period , but I've only made two dd payments (one of £85 and one of £100 - I changed the amount) and I'm £67 in credit. I know this is the summer, but hopefully it will stand me in good stead for when the c/heating goes on around end of October. My August payment goes through on Monday, so then I will be £167 in credit.
It's for my house in the UK, which is lived in by my son and two lodgers, so I accept that the bills will be higher if it was just me and my husband living there. This is one of the bills included in the rent (my son pays some of the others), so I have to monitor it very closely.
I put my meter readings (taken by my son) onto the Powergen site online every month, and e-mail them too (because once they didn't go through online) and so my bill is accurate and not estimated.
So far, so good! We will await the winter bills and see what happens!

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton
