H!
I have several plastic trays of seedlings (various bedding type plants, asters, antirinum, lobelia, viola, french marigolds, mixed half-hardy annuals) on my windowsill-all are now germinating!
As I need my windowsills back (need to pot off a total of about 25 tubs of chills & tomatoes!) now that they are germinated will it be ok to pop them in my plastic greenhouse? Plan to plant them out 15-20 May roughly.
Is it too soon?

where in the country are you? I have pansies, marigolds and petunias at various stages out in my plastic greenhouse overnight at the moment, but I'm in the south and its not got below 7C since i've had them out.
I've had 4" tomato plants out in the greenhouse overnight too for a few days now, small runner and french bean plants too. Chillis have been going out during the day but in at night.
anythign that goes out overnight will need hardening off first - leave them outside in a sheltered spot for a few days, bringing them in at night. Even if you are in the south, weather looks like it is going to cool down at the weekend so I might bring some of my stuff in.0 -
Hi-I'm just outside of huddersfield about 150m above sea level in the pennines. Patio/garden gets sun from around 2-30pm.0

tbh the temps in huddersfield aren't that different on bbc website to what they are with us. its the nights you've got to watch out for - maybe put them out in the day for the next few days to harden them off and then see what the weather is doing after the weekend - as i said it is supposed to get to 3C at night on sat/sun which is prob too cold. I have found my mini green house only gives up to 2C temperature protection at night, not much but every little helps.
At least that gives you room on the windowsills for your toms to get some light during the day - although as i said they will also be OK in the greeenhouse during the day. At night it doesn't matter if plants are by a windowsill anyway. It is such a PITA moving trays of plants in and out in the mornings and evenings. I'm having to set my alarm 10 mins earlir to make sure I have time to do it...0
