Anyone know what these are and what to do with them please?
Someone from California (USA) wants to pay for one of my items with these and I have no idea what they are or what to do with it if he does, and what to charge as no doubt there will be charges on converting it to UK £ sterling. Item is only a few quid.

Personally unless your auction said that you accept them, I wouldn't take it. Money orders can be made out in UK sterling but many are only usable within the US and are useless in the UK. The problem is until you get it you don't know what you are getting and whether it will be cashable here.
If it arrives in US dollars then you have more problems as even if it is usuable in the UK your fees are likely to be in the region of £6-£8.
Due to problems with foreign cheques and MO's I state on all my auctions that I only accept paypal in UK sterling funds from overseas buyers. I have just listed some auctions though adding to that that I am able to take direct bank transfers in sterling as well.

I had also stated Personal Cheque or Paypal. Suppose will just have to say either paypal or I can see if I can reclaim the fees from Ebay as I think I that I should be able to if he doesn't pay for the item. One day I might be more organised...........
