what is a v car

Hello can somone help it might be a stupid question but what is a vcar. I have seen a car on a website that has had a rear shunt, all the work has been carried out, it was a cat d the car has a 12 month mot . But I have never heared of a vcar :(

    I hadn't heard of vcar two minutes ago, but a quick google...

    VCAR = Vehicle Condition Alert Registered vehicle (insurance write-off)
