When the trial had finished for the shampoo and conditioner, they were emailing me the post-trial surveys - it was only then that I realised I was included in the trial and should have received them. I emailed them about three times to tell them I couldn't complete the surveys as I hadn't had the product and I never got a reply from them!

I'm concerned now that if same thing happens with the deodorant it will jeopardise any future offerings from them.

I'll wait and see if any other people post to say theirs has arrived - perhaps give it till the end of the week and will email them again.

For the deodorants testing ,this is the email I recieved from them on the 15th of September .

Dear panelist

We would like to propose you a free trial of TWO
deodorants/anti-perspirants to test one after the other.
Each product will have to be tested approximately for 7 to 10 days at your home. If you’re interested and available to participate, you will receive the first product by mail by the end of September. We’ll then send you an internet link one week later for you to give us your opinion of this first product. Once you completed this first questionnaire, you’ll test the 2nd product (which you will also receive by mail by October 12) to test for 7 to 10 days. Again, we’ll ask you to complete the questionnaire of this 2nd product via an internet link.

In order to ascertain whether you will be able to take part in this test, please take a few minutes to answer the questions below.

I havent recieved the first one yet ,but will wait it out . Only tesco's seem to be spot on with dates to trials (at least with me so far) . So I will wait for another week or so ,then contact them .

I've just received this reply from them:

We are sorry for all the things which happened for your surveys.

However, you have been advised that we were looking for paticipants to a
deodorant test but you have not been selected that is why you did not
received any samples.

Our panel is working with certain target and we do not let it work all the
time with the same persons.


This is what I had assumed had happened with the shampoo and conditioner trial - that I hadn't been selected.... but then they kept sending me the after trial surveys which made me think maybe I should have got the samples!!

Well there you go then ,bit like Tesco's ,they do the same thing . I will leave contacting them then ,but I will still fill in the survey - just incase Thanks for clarifying :beer:

It's a shame that they don't just drop you an email to say 'sorry, but this time you were not selected!'. At least you'd know nothing was going to turn up, rather than left wondering whether a parcel had gone astray!

Do Tescos do that then too? Will have to bear that in mind!

I've only had a few trials from Tesco so far - I thought with them it was a case of if you logged in to join the trial and got the confirmation on the screen, then you were in!

Very true ,would save all this confusion later on as well .... considering how many of us thought we were actually participating in the trial . And yes ,Tesco's do it as well ,twice for me now . They mainly tell you on the email for the survey if that will happen though . But at least they give you fair warning that you may not get in .

Oh and as to Tesco's ,I get most of my trials and surveys from them through email ,the surveys then get done on site ..... its a strange way ,as I assumed I had to log in like you all do ,but thats only for the surveys .

Typical, I post on here because I haven't heard from them in months and then I go and get a survey today.
