It depend's what you want really... Norwich has the usual mix of travelodges & premier inn's. There is a travelodge at Acle on the way to Yarmouth and also one in Gorleston Nr Yarmouth.
Self catering wise you have loads and loads of caravan parks by the coast. Hemsby is probably the cheapest area accommodation wise with lots of bargains on ebay/hoseasons for chalet type accomodation. Searles at Hunstanton and Kelling Heath nr Weybourne are 2 of my particular favourites but are by no means the cheapest.
Can really recommend www.tickred.com a local discount site where the vouchers are text free of charge to your mobile. Everything from discounts on Mac Donalds to bogof's at Cinemas/restaurants.0 -
We always stay at the holiday inn express on the 2-4-1

(just stick Norwich and 2 nights in the 2-4-1 link)
Asda next door and a Wetherspoons walking distance.
If you want something more holiday like then there are loads of places around north norfolk.0 -
The_Economist what sort of accomodation are you after? B&B, hotel?
What budget & by close to coast do you mean u dont want a city hotel?
Aylsham is nice & mid way between norwich & the coast, or maybe holt is nice but quite pricey

Hi blushingbride,
i think price is going to determine what type of accomodation i go for. I dont need anything to outlandish as long as its got a bed and own bathroom/shower room. If rates are cheaper in town or near town then i will look at these areas rather than the coastal ones.

Not to remote. I want to try and get in as much site seeing as possible. The more time out of the car the better. If i could i would, but i cannot so i wont, but maybe one day i will.0 -
Coltishall village has got a lovely B&B the bridge i think its called the in-laws & grandparents stay there when they come to visit up our way. North walsham has got some nice ones too and is a shortish drive from Bacton Woods, Bacton,Walcott, Mundesly & sea palling beaches. Not to far from Cromer or seringham either or Norwich.Had my amazing little girlie 08/12/2007 - 11 days late! 9lbs 3oz
