Advice for childrens bank account aged 12+

Could anyone please advise which bank account would be the best for my son who is 12 nearly 13. Both myself and his dad have agreed that each week we will pay money into his account so that he learns to manage it himself. We will set up a Standing Order each month to be paid into his account, but I am absolutely "bamboozled" as to who does what! All I want is a straight forward account so that I pay in and he can draw out with a bank card however much he wants or needs. I was looking at the Post Office website but there doesnt seem to be much help on there.
Any suggestions pleassseeeee! Thanks.

Each bank have their own:
HSBC - http://www.hsbc.co.uk/1/2/personal/current-accounts/under-18s
Lloyds - http://www.lloydstsb.com/current_accounts/under_19s_account.asp
Those 2 I have both used and found fine.
Best bet is to use the most convenient at that age. So if there is a Halifax bank 2minutes down the road use that.
Just look on the banks website0 -
The Co-op bank have a nice children's account, but I don't think it comes with a cash card. Nationwide might offer what you want.0
