apart from the child benefit and child tax credits I assume your already getting then no theres nothing once you start back at work. Working tax credits if income is low enough. Also claim maintenance from childs father0

i mean't can i claim any thing from august to october when smp stops. Will i still be getting tax credits when smp stops - do i need to tell hmrc that smp has stopped?:cool:0

As Karen as stated working tax credits, don't forget £100 of your SMP is disregarded for tax credit purposes, so if your income is lower this tax year you can give an estimated income for this tax year but overestimate to avoid an ovepayment.0

You can't get jsa or income support as you have a job.
can you not start work earlier if you are going to struggle. Would make more sense0 -
Thanks Karenx,
Was just asking as wasn't sure if i'd be able to claim anything. Will just have to go back to work in August when Smp runs out.:cool:0 -
yes that's sensible. Government won't give you anything because you are chosing to stay off work longer0

However thinking about it the last three months (extended ML) is not classed as remunerative work and you will not get WTC for that period. I am not sure if you could claim IS. I will see if I can find some info.0
