I don't know about anyone else, but we use a farm shop local to us which is mainly a butcher's. I can place an order by phone for collection, and his prices are very competitive with the supermarkets. I'd imagine there must be a list somewhere on the Internet of such shops. Perhaps a search on yell.com. They might prove better value for you.
