I would go back to thailand tomorrow. I wish the King could sort it out but last I heard he was ill and living in a bangkok hospital.
Try and watch a variety of news channels but avoid Fox CNN and Sky news as their reports are from the Damien Day school of journalism. Al jaseehra is good for a more balanced view.
Chulalongkorn hospital is where the protester's thought the solders were being treated, they tried to get in to attack them. The King is fine and dandy
As for newspapers, try reading the Bangkok Post on line or The Nation, these tend to be a little more freer than the Thai nationals.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

The area on Bangkok were is this is tiny, it is like visting london with a protest in Whitehall, if you can limit your time in Bangkok, and head either North or south you will be fine, the Thai people are peacful and also recognise the importance of tourism to thier enconmy.0
