Hi all
after 15 months of waiting I have finally been given an allotment on my local site. It is a 5 rod plot with a couple of really run down and shabby sheds, but it is not totally over grown and already has a bean pole across it. I was wondering if anybody knows of a site or free software that can help me in planning out what to plant and where please?
Thank you in advance for any info.

Growveg.com seems popular, but rather than planning (I save that for the dark winter nights), concentrate on what you can plant this year. Buy as many seed spuds as you can find (usually reduced by now), as this will fill up your allotment. Also, leeks should be good for a sowing now, along with parsnip, and my must have veg - sweetcorn. Mangetout is also a favourite crop and pays for itself.
The best book you can get is D G Hessayons Veg Expert, it's simple and ideal for a beginners.
Concentrate more on digging it over in useable areas, and feeding the land with compost/well rotted manure if possible.
Top tip - grow what you like to eat, in fact grow more and buy a bigger freezer

Take one that looks the biggest...
Do not worry about the amount of work required as you can do small sections at a time and then cover it over..
Personally I'd take any!! lolGod helps make my veggie patch grow. He provides everything I need.. It only fails if I do NOT do as He has told me!!
Imagine if Christianity spread like swine flu... how much better the world would be!! God Bless!0
