No VAT Receipt provided

Hi All
I recently bought a camera from Amazon - however it was sold and dispatched from another company.
The item is fine, however they won't provide a VAT receipt.
I wanted one to claim back off my company, and find it frustrating that they can't provide a VAT receipt. The item was brand new.
I have asked if it can return it back and am waiting a reply. However, do I have any other rights here?

Are they VAT registered?0

They can only give you a VAT receipt if they are VAT registered.0

As above, they can only provide a VAT receipt if they are VAT registered, and if they're not then the camera was sold without VAT anyway so you wouldn't have anything to claim back.0

OP, did you ask for a VAT receipt? I do not normally issue them to Joe Public0

Was it dispatched by Indigo Starfish (an Amazon owned company)? If so they are in Jersey, and so not in the EU - they can't provide you with a VAT receipt as their sales are outside the scope of the EU taxation system0

You have a short window [x days [7/14??]] to return under DSR for a full refund [iirc including P&P unless they say this is excluded in their T&Cs].Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0

Would have to double check the postage as Jersy's DSR is slightly different to the UK'sBack by no demand whatsoever.0
