I know on eBay there are kits which include jiffy, envelops, selotape etc etc at decent prices. Also envelops in bulks are also available but are there any other places to find it cheaper?FREE???
There are sooo many padded envelops on eBay that I gave up. Im looking for 10 padded envelops, big enough to fit one phone in. Would I be better of buying in a larger bulk? I dont sell much, but I know if I buy 50 or more I will use them up EVENTUALLY!!!
Thanks,

Poundland are the cheapest for small quantity buys. The size you need are 8 envelopes for a pound. If the phone is being mailed with a charger etc then the next size up are 5 for a pound.0

Thanks. Just the phone, I was thinking of ordering these, they dont have padding but I got jiffy bags/paper whatever you call it at home. I can wrap it in several layers of that.

Looking at the link you posted they are just plastic bags. Go to your local PO and get some special delivery bags. Turn them inside out and hey presto! thick silver/grey poly bags for free. Write on them in thin permanent marker and when you post them don't use the lickable stamps as these fall off, get them to print the stamp off, they stick much better.

Dont you have to pay for special delivery bags? Do you mean those silver bags with special delivery and weight e.g. 500 grams written on it?
Looks like I would be asking them for some on Monday!

Yes, they are the ones I mean. Some PO's might ask you to pay the postage up front. Just tell them you are getting them for a friend who can't get out at the moment and have no idea what's going in them so can't pay the postage (or something similar):heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. Thats what I thought. How do they know if you paid them first, Do they stamp it or something? I remember I had 2 Special Delivery Next Day envelops, I put my items in and sent them off, wasnt asked for money!
Would give me PO a visit on Monday then.

Just to clarify this please. There are two sorts of bags, one is pre paid and have the tracking number on them and basically you put your stuff in, take it to the PO who confirm it is within weight limits for the postage already paid, and then give you your special delivery receipt with tracking number.
The second set of bags, and the ones being talked about here are still special delivery bags but are not prepaid and again need to go to the PO where they are weighed, postage for special delivery will be paid, and then , and only then, will you get your special delivery receipt and tracking number.
The thread suggests that these 'free' bags be used wrongly, ie turned inside out and then taken to the PO (or put straight into a post box) after adding ordinary postage, not special.
Moe, if you just put the bags in the post with no postage you were very fortunate to find a postman not bright enough to spot that no postage was paid. What should happen is that the buyer woul dget a card asking them to pick up a package from the sorting office, where they would have had to pay full postage costs plus a £1 handling fee.
