can anyone tell me please if morgan stanley usually give you a decision online when applying for a card,as my friend has just applied and they said they will be in touch with the decision,is this the normal response from this card company,TIA folks0

Yes it it normal.....they manually underwrite credit cards...as do MBNA and Barclaycard0
