I am 19yrs and been doing an apprenticeship it is coming to an end and I really want to go back to college and do something completely different. I live at home with my mum and she is disabled and on benefits.
She has lost a lot of her benefits with me working and I pay her the difference. Which works out quite well. I work at the moment 7 days a week because I have a little part-time job in a juice bar at the weekends which I enjoy. I want to keep the juice bar job going which gives me an income of around £60.
If I go back to college can I claim anything?
Do I have to pay for the course?
And what will my mum be able to claim?

If you're studying level 3 full time and you don't already have a qualification at this level, you can claim 30.00 per week Adult Learners Grant. Again, if this is your first qualification at this level, the tuition fees will be waived whether you study full or part time.0
