Gilberts Syndrome
Comments

i have gilbert's syndrome - i have been really ill with another condition once and gone really yellow!! if i eat well and act sensibilly it is usually nothing to worry about, if i am silly or getting ill i notice it in my eyes ( i am the only person i know who can predict getting a cold 24 hours before i have sypmtoms).
strangely i have a red meat intollarence and have had a veggie diet since 2 years old - my dr says i may have had a serious problem earlier had i been brought up eating red meat!
i was in my 30's when i found out.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0 -
Thank you all so much for your replies. He has been tested for other conditions, thyroid, vitamin D deficiency, etc and everything else came back normal, but then I was told that his two liver function test were normal and it was only when I asked for the tests to be double checked that it was noticed that his test were 41 and 42, with 3 weeks between them. He is under pressure with coursework and exams for his A levels at the moment so hopefully once these are over he might begin to feel better. We went training last night and he managed OK but was tired when he finished. At the begining of feeling unwell he seemed to be getting one cold after another and for 2/3 months seemed to constantly have a sore throat, etc, he does have mild hay fever but has always kept that mostly controlled by taking bees pollen.
I will show him all your replies, and hopefully this will encourage him.Fibro-Warrior0
