I have nearly cleared the surfaces in the kitchen, now going to go and do some gardening. Guitar tonight so will have to do a bit more practicing - its coming but ITS SO SLOW. Guess I should know this by now, I'm not quick at manual dexterity:(

I had a look at a guitar, and I find it difficult even pushing down on the strings without pushing down on all the others - big fingers...

oooh that sounds great Sally - it's such a great feeling to have that silly grin feeling on your face all day and people look at you as if you are slightly weird constantly smiling :rotfl:

Been for physio session this morning, booked the day off so I could chill a bit. I saw someone different who is a chronic pain specialist. She mostly talked to me about pain gateways and pain pathways and as well as physical damage, there are lots of 'mental' ways you can improve how you feel - relaxing, doing nice things etc........well, I'm all up for that! ;)

Yes, but is it doing you any good? Are you getting relief?

now there's a double edged question if ever I heard one :rotfl:

Physio isn't doing anything, they are barely touching me (literally).

Today was a talk about how pain manifests itself and how the brain 'remembers' old pain and how the body reacts and then she gently touched around the damaged joint in the hip area and then did a 1 minute breathing exercise and then 4 minute 'body scan' relaxation exercise.

Over the last 4 weeks I've had a total of 3 or 4 short (10 min) acupunture sessions, a bit of gently moving me to see how far I move before going 'oooooooow' and a couple of gentle movement to do at home to try to losen the joints. To start off with, the first sessions seemed to be 'you have muscles in spasm' but they now seem to realise it isn't just that and I am being referred back to the consultant because they don't think it's worth me having the whole 12 sessions at the moment as they can't really do much.

    Overall, I would say a 3 out of 10.

The woman I saw today mentioned she thought I might end up on a long term pain management programme.

Please can someone give me a kick up the bum? I want to go to pool group but I keep having panic attacks, I know I'll be ok once I get there.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
