What to do with Vintage Clothing and Household clearance ????

I am clearing out my Grandma's bungalow this week as she has moved into a care home now . The items have to be out of the there before Saturday when we clean up and hand the keys over on Monday morning .
So far I am going to offer larger items on Freecycle due to the little days left , and some items on my car boot others on Ebay ., or would you suggest something else ?
But I am unsure what to do with the clothing , there is plenty of dressses , tops, coats, trousers which are dated back to I would say 50s and 60's all in good condition and hardly used .
I have checked on Ebay and spotted a few but any advice would be great as I no nothing about this market .
Am I better selling in bulk ? or separate listings ? What names do I look out for ? and where is best to sell them ? Anything I need to mention to whom ever may purchase them ?
Any monies made will be going to my Gran as I would like to turn as much as I can into cash for her as she has done so much for me in my life .:D
Thanks for reading , I will read all posts .

Seeing as your in Manchester you could try one of the many Vintage shops to try and sell in one go. Its hard to advise without seeing the clothes themselves.0

Are there any designer-type labels in among the clothing? Depending on how many there are it will take a lot of time and effort on your part to list them on Ebay, so maybe you should pick out a few key, quality items, perhaps do a search on Ebay on completed sales to see how much they could fetch? For the rest I would give them to charity, they are crying out for good quality clothing and many people buy vintage clothing from there plus you would be donating to a good cause.
BTW well done you for trying to do the best you can for your grandma. I had a similar situation a couple of years ago clearing out my late aunt's house; she had cupboards full of fantastic clothes from the 40's and 50's most of them on great condition but it was just too much to sell them individually so my local charity shop were delghted!£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Vintage clothing sells very well on Etsy although would depend on the make/style etc.:smileyhea0

Thankyou I dont know which brand names are better if anyone has a few names I can look out for please ??
I cleared her house out a few years ago before she moved to the sheltered accommodation which the bungalow is, so I gave alot to charity shops then { in fact practically a three bedroomed house full ] . To find out later I could have got thousands for some of the items
So I just wanted to sell some if I can this time for her , as she brought me up and spent lots of money on me when I was younger , and she is very far from rich
So I just wanted to know what items I could sell and the rest will certainly be going to charity again .
Do you think places like Afflecks palace in Manchester will take them ?Ebay Bag A Day Challenge 2012- :staradmin

As someone else mentioned, it really depends on how much time you are prepared to spend selling the stuff. Some vintage items will not be worth anything, but the odd item (esp if its a well known brand) will be worth a few quid.
Me & my girlfriend have just had a similar experience, with our own clothes. We finally got around to sorting our wardrobes out and found loads of old clothes - some from 80`s and 90`s which we havent worn for years. I was going to take the lot to the charity shop, but decided to put some on ebay. You will be supprised how much some items go for. Even those which didnt make much, still made £1. And those £1`s soon added up. Some items like Levi jeans or brand name shirts made decent money. Certain brands or styles of shoes also seemed to fetch decent prices.
But, you have to be prepared to list everything, weigh it, post it out, and have your living room look like a charity shop for weeks!0 -
Or you could take them to a car boot?0

Its so variable with vintage stuff, When I worked in the industry a lot of items would be very cheap and others could be mega money, the best I ever did was 15k for a Couture Chanel Ball Gown, the holy grail in vintage was an original sex pistols t-shirt in as new condition, If you have one of those they can go for 10K++++
Good designers would be Biba, Ossie Clark, etc, Afflecks Palace would be a good bet to get rid in bulk.
There is a top end Vintage shop in Eastwood not far from Manchester, they do a lot of beaded 1920's flapper dresses and such like, the lady who runs that would be a good bet and she would tell you instantly what they are worth.0 -

Have a look at Oxfam's vintage clothing site, that may give you a good idea of what sells.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Thankyou for your replies
As for selling on Ebay , I do have the time , and packaging , trips to PO and postage prices in my head as I sell on there alot anyway , so this wouldnt be a problem .
Its just I have never done this sort of line and I do not have a clue of even one label to look out for until I read from DKLS { thanks again Dk }
I will have a google for the one you mentioned at Eastwood as this sounds promising
The oxfam site is good also , as I went through the massses of things at the house today and there is such a variety I didn't know which are better designs or notEbay Bag A Day Challenge 2012- :staradmin
