Tax credits

Hi,

My partner has recetly gone abroad. She is planning to stay there for around 11 weeks. Any idea when should I notify Tax credit office? will this effect any of the payments I am getting now?

Thanks
MS

You need to notify them of any changes as quickly as you can. It depends on the exact change as to the time limit you have to tell them about it, a lot of them seem to be within 1 month. I'd say the sooner the better if at all possible. :)

Here's a link to a HMRC page about changes to tax credits, including going out of the country for more than 8 weeks. HTH
