I bought a used boat from a boatyard broker. It worked fine on test drive so I paid but when I collected boat week later and attempted to sail it home the engine failed soon after leaving. Boatyard don't accept responsibility so its up to me to foot the bill for replacement engine as original engine is beyond repair. Do I have any recourse to the boatyard to replace the engine.

The Sale of Goods Act should apply.0

Depends on the nature of the broker. If all they did was act as an agent for a private seller, your position is much weaker.0
