Help! Typo on tickets!

Hi, i've just received my flight tickets and have realised my surname is incorrect - i must have made a mistake originally.

Its like MANNNING instead of MANNING So I've added an extra N.

Is this likely to be a problem?

TIA

    Yes it will cause problems.

Phone the airline and depending on your carrier it will cost between nothing and £50 to change (some even charge ticket price difference)

    Where are you flying to?

The only think i can find on their site is when doing new bookings it says No changes or corrections are permitted.

    What airline?

I know it sounds daft but give them a call and see how much it will cost. It might (and often) work out cheaper to buy a new ticket.
That said, i'd be surprised if the airline didn't recognise it is a genuine mistake and simply change it for you at no cost.

    It's with KISS airlines.
  • I spotted a typo on my daughters boarding pass which I had generate online (didn't spot it til we got home).

Jet2 did not even pick it up.

I'd also be surprised if they picked that spelling mistake up but best safe than sorry. Call them straight away and see what they can do for you

    I agree with Mr Lahey

I did that with my partners name (although his driving license/passport are both spelt a letter a/e differently)

and I used the driving license spelling which is how he normally spells his name. I then called up the airline who realised it was a genuine mistake and corrected no charge.

I'd rather speak to them and have it changed then be refused travel on the actual day
