Hi All,

A friend has given me some seedlings she planted, but she can't remember what they are. She thinks they're daisies but has no idea of the type etc.

Anyone recognise them and can anyone tell me:
- what type they are (and indeed even if they are daisies)
- What height they'll get to
- How much space between them if I plant them out?
-When they'll flower
-annual or perennial?
-conditions needed (i.e shade/full sun etc)

Any help gratefully received

Hi They are ox eye daisies, a wild flower found beside the roads, but they are also in many peoples gardens including mine I love them and have many clumps in the borders.

They normally start to flower white blooms at the start of May, and flower til august september, yet self seed if you dont dead head.

They are perrenial and they form large clumps each year, I never dead head because I love to have them in my garden.

The bees betterflies and insects love them too.

If you want to keep them in small clumps dived them each spring, they grow to about 12 to 18 inches high and have loads of flowers per clump.

To start with put each plant 8 inches apart they will grow into each other. like I say if you wont more each year then dont dead head as they seed quickly, but if you only want them where you put them them definately dead head.

Enjoy them they are beautiful . :T
