Really need some advice re:community care grant

Im so stressed out and need to let it out. I have been trying to move bk to my hometown of leicester for years now (my mum and dad moved to lincs when i was still at school, after leaving school i got into a relationship and had children but my partner was violent-my dad died 5 weeks after my 18th b'day and my daughter was just a few weeks old at the time, mum moved bk to leicester to be with family and i was stuck here, after years of abuse i am now settled with a decent bloke but really want to be bk at home as i have no support here and no nobody).

Anyway i have finally got a house exchange to leicester and planned to move on may 15th after my daughters SATS. We have put in for a community care grant as we are out of work at mo (another reason 4 moving as my partner has a job lined up 4 when we move) and im in alot of debt due to my past.

Awarding one isnt the problem as we qualify, however they cannot award it until we have signed the tenancy at leicester, the trouble is the council will only let us sign the tenancy on friday 14th and we have to move on 15th. I cant move without removal costs but cant get removal costs till after ive signed so im in a catch 22.

Council said earliest we can sign tenancy is on friday 14th may but latest we can move is monday 16th. Even if i fax the tenancy off to community care grant ppl on the friday and they awarded me that day (unlikely) it will take 3 days to clear into my bank. Im so stressed out,i suffer badly from depression and my doctor is supporting the move but we are in a catch 22 and dont know what to do. Feeling very low right now, if i cant think of anything then im gonna have to pull out of the move..anyone know of anything i can do? ps cant get a crisis or budgeting loan due to the debt i owe

Crisis Loans and community care grants are given too those on certain benefits (and certain situations)and budgeting loans are given but have to be paid back so really it wont be getting you out of debt, by paying the budgeting loan back you will have even less too live on, with regards too the debt the Citizens Advice is the best place to start, there are so many things they can do to help you with this

    Who is eligible?

You can apply for a Community Care Grant if you are either:
    • already getting Income Support, income-related Employment and Support Allowance, income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, Pension Credit, or payment on account of one of these benefits
    • likely to start getting one of these benefits within the next six weeks because you're moving out of care

and any one of the following applies:
    • you're moving out of residential or institutional care to live independently
    • you're moving to a new home which will be more suitable for you following an unsettled period in your life and are being resettled by an organisation like a local council or voluntary organisation
    • you need help to stay in your home and not go into residential care or hospital
    • you need help because you and your family face exceptional pressure, such as family breakdown or because one of you has a long-term illness
    • you look after someone who is ill or disabled, or has been released from custody on temporary licence
    • you need help with expenses such as visiting someone who is ill, or to attend a relative's funeral

Unless any of the following apply you may find it hard to claim a CC Grant
