Benefits Enquiry - Any help appreciated.

Just a quick query. I've tried the various benefit calculators and still can't make head or tale of what I need to put in. I'm not thick but it's just not clear.

I am earning £27000 and my wife is going to be coming off Maternity Pay and she will not be returning to work so she can look after our child. It's our first child, we have no savings or other income.

What benefits can we get and how much roughly?

There is no benefits called "looking after child benefit".

If both of you are working, then you can cliam part of your childcare cost under working tax credit.
    Spend smart, and save more.

hi my husband earns the same amount as you and we get child benefit and working tax credit. Aren't entitled to help with nursery costs if i return to work but that may be because of our savings.

You won't get WTC on an income like that.
