Damaged mobile phone screen

Hi, I hope I'm posting this in the right place. Perhaps a BG could move it if it isn't.

I bought a new Nokia phone last July from an Ebay seller in Hong Kong. I noticed today that there are some damaged pixels on the screen. They were not there when I bought it, I think this has only happened in the last few weeks.

So I'm wondering if I have any consumer rights. And if I do, should contact Nokia or the seller in Hong Kong (which would probably be a bit of a palaver!).

Thanks in advance for any advice.
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)

You could try Nokia to see if it's covered by any manufacturers warranty, other than that you've got no comeback with the seller I'm afraid.

Thanks, I'll give it a whirl. I'm not too bothered as It's not a big problem, still a perfectly good phone. :)

Pixels on screens on Phones/TV's/Cameras are only covered if there are numerous dead pixels, due to each screen having tens of thousands. A 'few' are highly unlikely to be covered.

Mine is just a small patch; the screen is about 4 x 6cm and there is a line of damaged pixels about 0.75cm wide. I'm guessing that's too small to count. For ages I thought it was a bit of dirt on my screen! :rotfl:
