If you get the posting to Cyprus, i would contact DSCOM about this.
They will pay for you to travel to the passport office and have a sameday passport if time is short.

We find that we are busier here than we have been on any of our postings. There is loads to do, if you want to be social there is a great social life both for you and your children. There are clubs such as Mum's and Tots, we spend lots of time in the pool or at the beach - my eldest (not in school yet) swims with confidence and the little one is getting there.!
It's expensive out here - check out some of my older posts for some price checks! But the LOA is pretty generous, and lots of people order clothes and toiletries etc online. We love it - lots of family time, great weather and loads to do!0 -

If going to Cyprus you'll have a set allowance so I'd watch what you're taking and some things will have to go into storage but you'll be advised of this when you get your posting notice I'd imagine as I've never done a Cyprus tour. Have you had a definite posting notice as from past experience I'd never got on word of mouth...only in writing!!!Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680

not had the paperwork but we know a place has been reserved for us, just got to wait for the paperwork to get to admin.
