Ordered some and a few bits for delivery on Thurs. I know my local store doesn't have any stock (didn't when we went in today anyway) but I've been explicit about what I want them to substitute it with (ordered 48 cans of the stella and told them to sub with 2 of the 24 can packs if not available) so hopefully will get a price match.

Given I had to complain last week when they substituted my 6 litres of value cider with 3 litres of normal rather than 6 litres so they avoided a price match I'm sure they'll think twice before trying to sub with a four pack of lager instead like they did with someone else earlier in the thread. Oh and the £10 credit I got for my complaint about the quantity sub last week helped pay for my lager order :beer::beer:

This must be shop specific as I went to my local superstore and they had the cans in but were labelled at 4.19 for the 4 x 440ml packs. There was a SEL there with the 1.25 on it but it was referring to the 4 x 330ml packs and the typical "Sorry out of Stock" was also on it. I have ordered online and it will be interesting to see if they come back with the out of stock email or call tomorrow as I know for sure that they have loads of them in.

Ignore my last post I'm being a plum, it was the correct SEL and basically they are out of stock.

I suppose all that I can do is put a substitute in there for the larger packs?

They've still not arrived for me, supposed to be here between 7-9 so should be here soon!

I hope I either get what I've ordered or the give me bigger cans for no extra charge.

Would it be fair for them to give me 440ml cans but less of them, to me I think I should get the quantity I ordered, not the volume.

There is no rational logic to tesco substitutions, it all depends on the dude doing the picking, and what they class as a substitution, unless someone corrects me, but in my experience theres never any logic invloved.

hmmm ... mine are due between 9 and 11 .. not sure what to do now if they send summat else, it's ages since I ordered anything off Tesco cos it's basically just down the road - but they don't have them in store ... although there is a massive store a few miles away. Is there a chance they will send 440ml cans, but less of them, and try and charge me the extra ??

Well mine are due first, I'll let you know what the try to offer me.

I'll be telling them to carry them all back to their van if they try to rip me off, it's a canny walk to my front door from the road too

So what happens if they send something more expensive?

Can they just charge the extra to your credit card or what?
