we have just been told the we cant do a home swap because the person we want to swap with has no connection to the village we live in and or dose not work with in the parish, would any one know where we would have to go from here, we want to fight this and move !0

Is it a Section 106 or a Section 157?
Is it a former council house?0 -
Hi it was built in 1996 and has always been managed by a housing association and it has a s106 not 157. We moved in to it having no local connection to the village!! Our housing association are saying that because the new occupant has no local connection she cannot swap.
Is it not discriminatory that because she is not in a position to buy a property she cannot move to where she wants to? If she had enough money she could buy a house in our village, have no local connection and nobody would bat an eyelid?? :mad:0 -
I would need to read the S106 before I could comment but at least 90% of them are unenforceable.0

What about 157 and section 37? Are there any cases of these being removed?0
-
Equally unenforceable and soon to be deemed against EU law?0

Hi thank you for replying. Are you able to tell me how I can find out more? I'm desperate to move and the council just keep quoting legislation at me. Any help greatly appreciated0
