Best way to make £5k for surgery?

Morning MSE!
I need to save £5k for some private surgery that I don't qualify for on the NHS, But I can have a boob job after if i like...
I obviously would like the surgery done sooner rather than later, but cannot get finance for it. So I'm wondering what on earth I can do to make £5k, I am on Maternity leave so I am not allowed to do any work... I have been blindly entering competions in hope to sell what I win, though I have only won a stupid Kola from Cushelle so far lol!
I do surveys and things but as the payment is mostly in Shopping vouchers were putting these away for using at christmas instead of money!
Ive got nothing to sell on Ebay or not money to invest... I've saved £2.64 towards the surgey so far lol :rotfl:I have absolutley no crafty skills or any skills I can sell. No assets or anything worth over about £5 really...
My OH wont let me do PSO work, and I cant do Avon etc
I do enjoy writing but I'm not going to make £5k from a blog so I'm at a real loss of what to do!
Any advice would be greatly appreiciated

I've got a similar challenge. I have to raise about £30k for a project I'm working on.
At the moment I'm looking at selling some of my gold and other things too.
Have you got things you can sell online?
What about looking at cutting costs down so that you can put the money away into your £5k pot?0 -
Do you have any idea about some or all of the following?
- Creating blogs
- Getting indexed on Google/backlinking/SEO
- Online marketing/promotion
- Affiliate marketing
If not then apologies for wasting your time. If you do, then I can try and give you some guidance.

I am trying to do the exact same I need 5k for surgery and came on here looking for ideas. So far Ive bought one of these little glass jars that I cant open without breaking and I plan on putting only notes in it (when I have them), so far Im just selling on ebay and gumtree. A really good cashback site called Onepoll for surveys and cashback Ive made so far £140 with that in just 3 months. Music magpie for selling all my old CDs and Dvds was pretty good too with quick payout. If I can think of anymore Ill post. Things I havent tried because of lack of time are dogwalking, babysitting etc. Good luck.0

You are on a DMP - surely you should be looking at ways to pay off your debt, not to fund non essential surgery?Gone ... or have I?0

Are you sure you don't qualify for NHS surgery im guessing its a breast operation? the guidelines have changed and there are ways of getting it funded.0

Noo its not breast surgery! I do qualify for breast surgery on the NHS, My GP's feeble attempt at softening the blow...
Ive sold alot to CEX, sold off my mobile phone. I would offer babysitting but my children are only 2 & 5weeks so its abit tricky as they are not old enough for me to leave IYSWIM!
OH and I are racking our brains, He may start doing some Matched Betting again if we can get a float together for it but other than than i am at a loss!Had my amazing little girlie 08/12/2007 - 11 days late! 9lbs 3oz

You are still missing the point that any income needs to be declared as part of your DMP. You cannot choose to avoid your debts in favour of elective surgery.Gone ... or have I?0

They do boob jobs on the NHS..? WowFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Have you asked the surgeon if they offer no deposit interest free credit as some do.0

just because the OP does not qualify for the surgery on the NHS does not mean that it is an unnecessary operation. it happens a lot. example - you can't get a hip replacement on the NHS if you are deemed "too young" for it despite the fact you may be using a walking stick and in lots of pain, same goes for replacement knee joints etc.
Hope that you can find some way to raise the money soon OP because I don't imagine that you would willingly have an unnecessary operation unless it was going to mean some improvement for you personally in your physical health & general wellbeing.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0
